Betsy Patterson
Betsy is president of Grace Albert Aesthetics LLC, an international training company, as well as owner/operator of Plain Jane, a private skin care, waxing and image consulting studio in the Los Angeles area.
Betsy's involvement with the beauty industry began when she took a job with a major cosmetics firm and quickly rose through the executive ranks. Her success came in part due to her years of marketing and business experience, her appreciation for esthetics, and her love of training and public speaking. It was a short jump from there to a career as a licensed esthetician, beauty business owner, and trainer for Adriel International.
Betsy describes herself as a very visual person:
"I feel strongly that all persons should take the time to care for themselves. Outer beauty is simply a reflection of what lies within, and taking time to make yourself look and feel more attractive has the added benefit of allowing you to free your mind and extend yourself to others with confidence. As trained beauty professionals, we offer a valuable service to our friends, family and clients."
"I love to train others how to succeed in business and look forward to developing many more classes, books, beauty products, DVDs and on-line learning opportunities so that all those with a passion for learning and excellence can enjoy the journey with me."
Betsy has been married to the love of her life, Bill, for 22 years. They live in the Los Angeles area and presently "parent" one dog and six cats, all rescued from local animal shelters. |

Shala
Shala has come a long way since embarking on her beauty career (after years of working with people in social services). In one short decade, Shala established herself as one of the finest estheticians in the Phoenix metropolitan area (hers was named best Brazilian Wax by the Arizona Republic). She founded and is president of A-List Skin, which markets the skincare products she formulated for her clients, and is a regular contributor for Renew Magazine. Three years ago, Shala embarked on a new career chapter: training others in the techniques that have made her own practice such a success.
In 2008, Shala joined Grace Albert Aesthetics as the company's Director of Education and Training.
Shala's enthusiams for her profession is contagious. "I love to help and inspire people to bring out the best in themselves, and sometimes that can be done with something as simple as a new eyebrow design. I also enjoy keeping up on the latest trends and incorporating them into my practice," she says.
Shala says her greatest accomplishment and biggest job is being mom to two young children. "You could say I have my hands full between parenting, working in the salon, running A-List Skin and of course, managing the Education and Training department at Grace Albert Aesthetics. But I would not have it any other way!" |

Jessica Roland
Jessica takes an artist’s approach to brow design.
“Every person is my masterpiece, I love getting a new work of art several times a day, every day,” says our enthusiastic trainer in Atlanta, Georgia. “I absolutely LOVE being the reason that people feel good about themselves. I feel that if you can make someone else feel good about herself, you have been successful!”
Jessica comes to Grace Albert with five years of experience as a stylist, salon manager and trainer.
“Spreading the knowledge that I have to others is the most wonderful thing. Every time I teach, I always learn something new, too,” she says. In fact, she pronounces, “Grace Albert is the ULTIMATE reason why I continue to educate others on how to sculpt the perfect brow. When I meet people, I make sure that I tell them how much I love brows, my passion for them, and why I like doing it so much!” |

Angela Jensen
Denver resident Angela Jensen has been training beauty professionals for over 15 years, working with major corporations like Revlon. She is co-author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Better Skin,” and a volunteer for the “Look Good Feel Better” program, which helps individuals with cancer look better, improve their self-esteem, and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence.
“Working for Revlon gave me a love for the transformation that could happen with cosmetics. This pushed me into the Esthetics Field. I really wanted to be a Makeup Artist to the stars, but in school I learned the broad scope of the Esthetician and knew I wanted to be involved in the industry fully. I enjoy assisting people by enhancing all their beauty, inside and out,” Angela says.
“Teaching is a way to feel accomplished, when you can propel a business, career or individual to excel and build confidence it is rewarding for both.” |

Cheri Petroni
Grace Albert Aesthetics didn’t gamble when we hired this trainer to help service the Las Vegas area: Cheri Petroni has a Master’s degree in Education, and taught elementary school for seven years before her entry into the beauty profession.
“I was looking for a new career where I had the flexibility to advance and make my own schedule,” she says. “More importantly, I wanted to be in a field that values continuing education. I believe I am not performing to the best of my ability if I don’t make the effort to learn the latest scientific advancements in my field. “
Cheri is serious about continuing education: She is currently working on a post-graduate degree in skin histology and its relation skin care – while she works as lead esthetician at a Las Vegas day spa, where she assists and instructs other members of her team in facials, chemical peels and Brazilian wax techniques.
“The best thing about teaching is when I see the light go on for someone,” Cheri says. “To give the gift of knowledge to someone, to experience that ‘aha’ moment is a priceless gift for me. It is a blessing to give back to others in this way.” |
